Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) on Wednesday 16th of october at Sheraton hotel Abuja, rolled out drums to recognise and honour their members who were elected or appointed into government.
So many of their members are into these positions and this body has seen it as an opportunity to drive down to these members the urgency needed to see the pharmacy law signed into an act.
The president of the association pharm Sam Ohuabunwa used this occasion in his welcome speech, to lament the not signing into law the pharmacy act inspire of the several decades the association has been existing.He further said that with the 25,000 membership, of the association, that all necessary assistance are at the disposal of their members to aspire to any level in Government.
Among those recognised and honoured are senator (Pharm) Matthew A. Uroghide, Senator representing Edo South, Senetorial District, Senator Sadiq Umar Suleiman, Senator Representing Kwara North Senetorial District. Honorable Ikengboju Gboluga Dele,pharm(Dr) Otive Igbuzor, Hon Pharm Dr G Nnamdi Okafor, Hon. Pharm Obinna Chris Emeneka and a host of others who are Commissioners, special assistants, Directors, Managing Directors and Executive Secretarys.
It was a time of networking among members present. The honorees said they would use their positions to move the profession to its place of pride.
